About Swarovski Crystals

Swarovski crystal began in 1892, when Daniel Swarovski, the son of a Bohemian-born gemcutter, invented the first industrial crystal-cutting machine. the quality of the material precision of his cut soon earned him an international reputation.

Swarovski crystal is made at the factory in Wattens, Austria, using basic formulae perfected by Daniel swarovski and his three sons in the earlier part of this century.

The crystal is fired using a combination of natural minerals and quartz sand, and then cooled slowly to avoid stress and inclusions. The luster of a Swarovski crystal is often compared to that of a diamond.

Swarovski crystals are the finest crystal beads, due to their clarity, color and variety. The superior quality of the cutting and polishing set Swarovski crystals apart from imitations and those made from other manufacturers.
